Hey! Tell us about your business.

Regent Branding is a remote and flexible digital consultancy that has grown from a 1-man band to a 32-strong team worldwide. We help clients dominate their digital strategy with paid search, paid social, search marketing, mobile apps and websites. Our most popular arm of the business, digital training, helps upskill and uplift current businesses who are keen to grow digitally. We’ve been with TAP since day 1 and they’ve seen us grow consistently.

What drove you to start your business?

I had a passion for digital marketing, and I wanted to create a new benchmark for excellence. I’d always been entrepreneurial, and loved the thrill of creating something of value for others and helping them grow their businesses.

What particular challenges did you have to overcome in setting up your business, and since then?

Finding the best staff was incredibly difficult, but we resolved this issue by hiring globally, finding and retaining some amazing talent. We were also up against some huge players in the realm of web design and apps, so we offered friendly pay monthly packages and grew our reputation from the ground up.

COVID was a huge challenge for us, but we approached it by pausing client contracts if they couldn’t pay, and offering struggling clients a discretionary discount as well. We also pivoted to creating software and mobile app games, which helped keep us afloat and unlocked a whole new revenue stream for us.
