When starting up his own previous business venture, our founder Lee Murphy faced a problem, and he concluded that many other aspiring entrepreneurs just like himself must be in the same boat.
He realised that far too many small business owners were having to deal with impersonal, detached accountants operating on old-fashioned values and providing outdated services. So he decided to do something about changing the profile of modern-day tax and accounting services.
Our story so far
In 2006 - the same year Daniel Craig debuted as James Bond, Google bought YouTube for $1.65 billion and the billionth iTunes song was downloaded - The Accountancy Partnership was founded with one simple objective: to provide a refreshing alternative to stuffy accountants and unapproachable finance professionals.
Since then, The Accountancy Partnership has gone from strength to strength, growing a handpicked team of qualified professionals with over a century’s worth of combined experience in the industry. We’ve launched our very own cloud-based bookkeeping software, helped more than 8,000 customers across the country and even gained an office pooch, Percy - and this is just our story so far.
The clue is in the name: we’re a Partnership. We want to be more than just ‘the accountant’ who nags you about tax returns and invoices.
We want to be an extension of your team and a friend of the business. We want to bring tax and accounting back down to earth, whilst still upholding the excellent standards we dedicate ourselves to.
