What’s your name and your role in the company?

I’m Kylee, a director of Mana Construction Solutions Ltd. My role consists of managing the day-to-day running of the business, which includes admin duties and bookkeeping. My husband is a quantity surveyor and construction manager. Together our synergy delivers quality, affordable and efficient construction and surveying services.

Tell us about your business.

We both took a leap of faith, resigned from our job positions and started Mana Construction Solutions Ltd. We recognised a need for affordable construction and surveyor solutions and realised that we could provide them on a freelance basis. Our affordable services are aimed to help benefit homeowners, property developers and contractors.

What drove you to start the business?

We received a phone call from a property developer who was looking for a quantity surveyor. We decided that we could provide the service for him. After completing the job, we stayed in close contact with him. This lead to other doors opening, and the developer becoming one of our largest clients to date.

What do you have planned for your business in the future?

Due to substantial growth in our first year, we are currently advertising our first employment position for a quantity surveyor. This is something we’re really excited about. Once we have a new employee on-board, we will then look into strengthening our marketing strategy of which will hopefully bring in more construction work. We then will continue to expand and progress from there. As it stands, the future of Mana Construction Solutions looks bright!
