Addressing the unequal gap in senior roles in the workplace, we created Doyenne to keep more women in the workforce after motherhood. We provide SME’s specialist expertise for when they’re scaling up their business, e.g. a Finance Director for two days a month for a year, or a marketing consultant for four weeks during a campaign. Additionally, we offer flexible services to cater for mothers entirely. Instead of taking a backseat to offer childcare services, we encourage women to do both; maintain a fulfilling career, alongside being a Mum.
What drove you to start the business?
Two challenges that merged into one solution! Firstly when working with an SME a few years ago, we experienced the arduous slog of searching for high-quality contractors and freelancers of which inspired our mission. Secondly, my personal experience of being a mother and a business woman inspired my decision to offer an adjustable service. We wanted to cater our offering for women who want to climb the ladder, achieve their career goals and build a family.
Why did you choose The Accountancy Partnership?
Similar to my own experience that inspired Doyenne, I couldn’t find an efficient service whilst searching online, that I could put my trust in. What do you have planned for Doyenne in the future?
I aim to build an online matching platform that manages the SME-expert relationship from start to finish. Just as importantly, I hope to expand further, so that I can offer a whole host of benefits to mothers who are a part of the Doyenne community.
