This month we spoke to Amelia Wilcox, Junior Marketing Executive at The Accountancy Partnership!

Give an overview of the duties, functions and responsibilities of your job.

No job is too big or small, I literally do everything. From creating social media posts and posting quizzes to our Instagram account (they are pretty cool), to creating graphics to upload on the website, no day is ever the same.

What is a typical working day like for you?

My day does not start until I have had my coffee, I am not capable of holding a conversation until I’ve had my coffee! I then go through my long list of tasks on my Trello board and try to prioritise them based on deadlines. The best days are when we film content, even though we do get some weird looks…

What particular challenges do you regularly encounter?

There are never any problems in marketing, it’s a dream!

What is your favourite part of the job?

I love creating content with Beth and Kristy, it’s so fun to be creative and bounce ideas off each other. It’s also really great hanging out with the dogs.

What do you like most about working for The Accountancy Partnership?

I love how relaxed it is here, everyone is so calm it creates a great atmosphere!

What skills do you find most useful to do your job?

Being ORGANISED! I literally would not function if I wasn’t organised, it is also important to be creative as we are always thinking of new ways to do things. It also helps to be persuasive (have you ever tried asking an accountant to be in a TikTok?!)

Where’s your favourite place to visit on days off?

If I’m not in work or at the gym, then I am probably out eating food or shopping (I promise it’s not a problem)!

What’s your proudest achievement?

Getting my degree was probably my proudest moment.

How would your colleagues describe you?

I asked the team and this is what they came back with…
Lizzy: “Hilariously engaging, kind, and very switched on. Despite the jar of wildlife on her desk”
Beth: “Slay”
Karl: “She’s okay”
Chris: “Boujee Queen”
Kristy: “Meme queen snack machine”

What are you reading/binge watching at the moment?

I’m currently watching Married at First Sight Australia (living for the drama) and Clarkson’s Farm (honestly crying – if you know you know).

Who do you admire, and why?

I admire anyone who manages to get up and keep going even when they want to give up. In the words of Kris Jenner “you’re doing amazing sweetie”.

What question would you really like to answer, and what’s the answer?!

Question: Can you eat sea monkeys?
Answer: Technically yes, but I wouldn’t recommend it…
