Every month we catch up with one of our clients to feature there business and spread the word! This month we’re talking to Joe Blackie from Alpha Backing Tracks, a business that creates and produces – you guessed it – backing tracks.

We caught up with Joe to hear about his company and what they do.

Tell us a bit about Alpha Backing Tracks

We launched in January 2016 and aim to provide the highest quality backing tracks to professional singers, acts and entertainers!

I have a lot of experience in the karaoke industry and creating a new website specifically targeting customers wanting professional quality backing tracks was an area I thought I should expand into.

How do you create the tracks?

We have a network of long-standing session musicians and producers that work for us. We have guys that play sax, trumpet, harmonica and ukulele as well as the more popular instruments like guitar and piano.

Have you got any genre you enjoy creating in particular?

We’ve done some children’s TV themes just recently which took some of us back to our childhoods and that was great fun! We produce tracks from all musical genres but we’ve enjoyed making some obscure reggae stuff lately that customers have asked for.

Do you have any other hobbies outside of the business?

Strangely enough most of my hobbies revolve around music: I love going to karaoke and I recently started piano lessons myself at the age of 36 – there’s a musician in me struggling to get out!

How has the service you’ve received been?

All good so far after almost 6 months of trading!
