This month we spoke to Steve Kennedy, Sales Admin Assistant at The Accountancy Partnership!

Give an overview of the duties, functions and responsibilities of your job.

I process all the forms that are submitted by clients, so when they register for our services, I process that form over to Admin making sure all relevant information is noted.

What is a typical working day like for you?

Busy! The aim is to have a confirmation email sent to each client the same day they submit their registration form. Some are straightforward, some aren’t! I also deal with the sales team inbox, distributing client callback requests which come in throughout the day, and I also allocate the processed forms to an administrator to complete the onboarding process, and an accountant.

What particular challenges do you regularly encounter?

Time is the most pressing, sometimes there’s a bit of a lull and I think I’m catching up and then a whole bunch of emails and forms appear in the space of an hour and I’m playing catchup again!

What is your favourite part of the job?

The team, and the staff in general – everyone is really friendly 😊

What do you like most about working for The Accountancy Partnership?

TAP is very staff focused, much more than other places I have worked. They provide lunches twice a week, smoothies and health shots twice a week, and are very flexible with holiday requests etc.

What skills do you find most useful to do your job?

Concentration! I have to zone out and just power through otherwise we’ll fall behind.

Where’s your favourite place to visit on days off?

I love a good castle! Just been to Caernarfon. And the great outdoors in general.

How would your colleagues describe you?

I don’t want to ask.

What are you reading/binge watching at the moment?

Douglas Murray’s War On The West.
