Preparing accounts, tax returns, VAT returns, and assisting clients with any queries they may have.
Every day is different, but I normally start the day preparing a set of accounts or a tax return. Through the day I assist my clients with any queries they may have, either on a call of via email.
I plan my day in advance to make sure I can manage and meet my client’s deadlines, whether that’s for accounts, VAT returns, or tax returns. We also work to a 24-hour email response time, so I must make sure I reply in a timely manner to meet my client’s expectations.
Clients can find it difficult to understand what they need to prepare their accounts, and how to portray the records. I try to help them as much as I can to make the process less stressful.
I have been working in accounts for 5 years so I use my experience and knowledge to assist clients with any issues they may have.
Every client is different, so it is interesting to be working with clients in many different sectors. Also, it is great when am I able to provide clients with a solution to any problems they may have.
All the people I work with. The people at TAP make it an enjoyable environment to work in, with everyone being easy to talk to and with constant support available.
Organisation and communication. I have a wide range of clients, but it is key to understand their needs on an individual basis so we can have the best working relationship possible.
I enjoy going to see my family and friends when I am not in work.
I am proud of passing all my AAT exams first time and passing the ACCA exams I have done so far.
