Was there a problem or issue you were looking for an accountancy to resolve?
With a background in accountancy myself I could have done my own accounts, but I wanted a professional on board to reassure me as I hadn’t worked in accountancy for several years whilst I set up my psychotherapy practice.
Also, I actually didn’t want to spend any more time that was absolutely necessary dealing with accounting issues!
How was this problem or issue affecting you/your business?
Finding an accountant was part of putting the jigsaw together, and recognising that I couldn’t handle everything myself. It has enabled me to focus on other aspects of developing my psychotherapy practice.
Why did you decide to go with The Accountancy Partnership?
I really liked that everything could be done online and by email. Even the signup process was efficiently managed through the website. Later on I also liked the advice provided about using bookkeeping packages, which really helped me navigate my way through a lot of the offerings of different companies.
Also, I like that my accountant is always there at the end of an email if I have a query. Eventually I opted to use the in-house bookkeeping package and find it reassuring that TAP have invested, and continue to invest in this for clients.
What would have happened had you not gone with The Accountancy Partnership?
I would probably have ended up trying to do it myself and being very frustrated. I wouldn’t have wanted to use a local accountant because it can be such a hit and miss affair. I am used to managing my affairs online too, so this fitted really well for me.
What benefits have you seen as a client of The Accountancy Partnership?
Certainly I have more time to focus on the other aspects of my business. I feel that I have more accurate information about my finances, which is helping me plan for the future.
I also have a good relationship with my accountant and so have peace of mind.
