Give an overview of the duties, functions and responsibilities of your job.
My role is to support our clients with any additional queries and concerns they may have, and liaise between our different departments.
What is a typical working day like for you?
My day starts by checking any emails that I have received and then responding to any reviews that have been put up overnight. We get a variety of different things coming to us throughout the day, so I make sure everything is distributed to the team.
What particular challenges do you regularly encounter?
Clear and effective communication is key, and at times there can be challenges in ensuring information is shared accurately and understood by all involved. This is why our team works closely with the relevant departments to help clients access the support they need, while taking the time to understand each customer’s individual circumstances.
What are some of the biggest challenges faced by your clients?
Being unsure of our processes. When starting up with a new business there’s a lot of information that needs to be passed across during onboarding and this can be a lot to take in, which we know can be overwhelming!
How are you able to use your skills to solve problems for them?
I feel as though listening carefully and understanding the client’s concerns, needs, and expectations is a good skill to have on our team. It’s important to hear the clients points in order to reach a positive resolution and provide the correct support.
What is your favourite part of the job?
I love helping clients reach positive resolutions and being part of a supportive team!
What do you like most about working for The Accountancy Partnership?
The vibe in the office is always high and everyone supports each other. We always seem to finish the day in a positive mood. I also love how open, bright, and modern the office is.
What skills do you find most useful to do your job?
Being patient and understanding.
Where’s your favourite place to visit on days off?
I love going on hikes and walks in Wales with my boyfriend. We hardly ever do the same thing twice, so we always go somewhere new or book random activities.
Tell us about your proudest achievement.
My proudest achievement would be booking a one-way flight to Southeast Asia and spending 4 months solo travelling. I would do it all again in a heartbeat.
How would your colleagues describe you?
They would definitely describe me as being an old soul. I can’t help liking the old tunes, a cup of tea and I’m usually happiest tucked up in bed by 9!
What are you reading/binge watching at the moment?
I’m currently reading The Windy City series. I’m a hopeless romantic through and through, so romance books are my favourite. If you’ve got a book recommendation, I’m all ears!
Who do you admire, and why?
I feel like this is a difficult question to answer because there are so many people around me who have different qualities that I admire. My whole family support me in everything I do and I’m so lucky to be able to say that.
What question would you really like to answer, and what’s the answer?!
What is the perfect amount of time to dunk a chocolate digestive in a cup or tea? 7 seconds.
