Give an overview of the duties, functions and responsibilities of your job.
On a day-to-day basis my duties consist of answering emails, dealing with post and helping clients over the phone.
What is a typical working day like for you?
A typical day starts with emails and helping clients, this may be over email or phone. Furthermore, I might be making orders for the office, sending post to clients or making calls.
What particular challenges do you regularly encounter?
It can sometimes be hard to adapt to accountant language, as well as dealing with challenges clients are facing as you want to be as helpful as possible.
What are some of the biggest challenges faced by your clients?
When signing up with us it can often be overwhelming, as we reach out for the different codes and information. It can sometimes be a lot for clients to take on, but it is important to work alongside them and assure them it is temporary.
How are you able to use your skills to solve problems for them?
I believe understanding and working with clients makes solving issues much easier for both us and them, understanding where they are coming from and being patient with one another.
What is your favourite part of the job?
Ru the dog.
What do you like most about working for The Accountancy Partnership?
I enjoy the team and all the girls I work with, they make the hard days easier!
What skills do you find most useful to do your job?
I find my communication and customer service skills the most helpful as we are on the phones so much throughout the day, it helps when assisting clients and discussing their queries.
Where’s your favourite place to visit on days off?
Anywhere that has coffee and food with my friends or boyfriend (and dragging them to Waterstones).
Tell us about your proudest achievement.
I would say getting my degree in Politics and Sociology, hard at times but worth it.

What are you reading/binge watching at the moment?
I am currently reading Ninth House and loving it, always watching Friends or Gilmore Girls.
Who do you admire, and why?
I would have to say my mum, she is one of the most positive and strong women I know. She has taught me resilience and how to keep moving forward.
