Give an overview of the duties, functions and responsibilities of your job.
I complete the annual accounts, corporation tax returns, Self Assessment tax returns and VAT returns for my clients.
What is a typical working day like for you?
I start my day by answering any emails that have come in overnight, then there’s usually some calls and then I get cracking on some accounts.
What particular challenges do you regularly encounter?
Explaining HMRC’s ever-changing rules and regulations to the clients!
What are some of the biggest challenges faced by your clients?
Understanding all of their duties and deadlines as business owners can be quite overwhelming and hard to get used to at first.
How are you able to use your skills to solve problems for them?
Working in accounts for moer than a decade has given me a lot of experience with a wide variety of businesses.
What is your favourite part of the job?
Every day is completely different as we have such a wide variety of clients, no two sets of accounts are the same.
What do you like most about working for The Accountancy Partnership?
Everyone is so friendly, supportive and helpful. We’re really well looked after and get rewards and perks for all our hard work which isn’t something I’ve ever experienced in previous jobs.
What skills do you find most useful to do your job?
I’m organised and good at managing my time.
Where’s your favourite place to visit on days off?
Either the zoo or a new city to explore.

Buying and renovating my first home with my fiancé.
How would your colleagues describe you?
Probably quite quiet but hopefully friendly and helpful as well!
What are you reading/binge watching at the moment?
I’ll read anything by Frieda McFadden and Friends will always be my go-to binge-watch.
Who do you admire, and why?
My cat Millie because she lives rent free and sleeps all day!
