Hey Vicky! Tell us about your business

As a Garden Designer and Consultant, I help busy professionals create their dream garden, so that they can spend more time relaxing outdoors, and enjoying themselves with friends and family.

I also work creating small public space gardens, often to help an organisation communicate a particular idea or theme, or simply to give their guests and staff the opportunity to take a nature-filled break during the day.

What drove you to start your business?

I’d originally wanted to be a landscape architect, but followed another path for 20 years. After re-training, a good friend challenged me to follow my dream and try to make a difference to peoples’ well-being.

What particular challenges did you have to overcome in setting up your business, and since then?

The huge amounts of administrative tasks (all necessary) whilst also trying to build a reputation and client base and do great work for current clients.
