Hey Andrew! Tell us about your business

AddVitality Limited helps people deal with stress, anxiety and depression in natural and holistic ways. The business was born out of my own experience of deep depression and anxiety after I was suicidal and spent 5 weeks in a psychiatric hospital in 2006.

What drove you to start your business?

I had suffered with stress, depression and anxiety all my life and had not found the answers or help I needed.

What particular challenges did you have to overcome in setting up your business, and since then?

Reluctance to share my mental health experiences publicly. As well as challenges in learning how to self-publish eBooks, paperbacks, audiobooks and self-study courses.

People said it would never work and that I shouldn’t quit my corporate job, so I had to overcome the self-doubt and keep going, even when the business didn’t look like it was succeeding in the first couple of years.

Why did you choose The Accountancy Partnership?

Great service and good value. Harriet is an excellent accountant and extremely helpful.

Have we helped you overcome any challenges, and if so, how?

Yes, you’ve helped me run a tax efficient and profitable business, leaving me to focus on what I enjoy doing most.

What do you have planned for your business in future?

I’d like to continue with my Mood & Food podcast, and I have more books and courses in the pipeline. I want to help even more people deal with the mental health problems I faced.
