We talk to Kim about her role as Sales Admin Assistant at The Accountancy Partnership.

Give an overview of the duties, functions, and responsibilities of your job.

My main role is to process the registration forms we receive from our new clients over to the admin team. I am the glue between the Sales and Admin team! I’ll also confirm the quotation breakdown and services to the client as discussed previously with the new business team, so they know exactly what is included in their fee.

What is a typical working day like for you?

My morning starts with the essential one cup of tea I have a day before my brain can function! After that, I begin working through the overnight emails and process any new registration forms which have been received. I also allocate leads to the sales team, and pass any completed forms to admin so we can begin the process of working with our new clients.

What particular challenges do you regularly encounter?

I collate all the information the client enters on the registration form and ensure everything is correct, and that the fee is as previously agreed with the new business team.

What is your favourite part of the job?

It has got to be the team I work with, and the friendly atmosphere in the office.

What do you like most about working for The Accountancy Partnership?

TAP is a great company to work for, with the added benefits of smoothies and lunches catered for twice a week, and the quarterly social events.

What skills do you find most useful to do your job?

Time management and being able to multitask!

Where’s your favourite place to visit on days off?

It has got to be on the couch watching a film or binge watching something with my fiancé and my dog Minnie.

Getting to where I am today. I am very lucky to have all my family and friends around me.

I bought my own flat at 24 and spent over 7 months ripping everything out, fitting a new bathroom and kitchen, and doing it up exactly how I wanted it. It took a lot of my spare time and weekends, with mainly myself, mum and dad doing it alone, but the reward of what we achieved was so worth it.

How would your colleagues describe you?

Diligent, hardworking, and bubbly!

What are you reading/binge watching at the moment?

I will watch any old rubbish on the TV!

Who do you admire, and why?

It has got to be my Mum. She is the most selfless person in the world; she cares for my elderly grandparents and also looks after my young niece and nephew whilst working full time. She is the rock of our family, and she doesn’t realise how much we all appreciate how much she does for us all!
