We talk to Jennifer Hayward about her role as a Bookkeeper here at The Accountancy Partnership.

Give an overview of the duties, functions, and responsibilities of your job.

I enter clients’ transactions into Pandle, check that the accounts balance correctly, and follow up with clients for any missing information.

How are you able to use your skills to solve problems?

I think I use my previous knowledge to help me better understand the processes we incorporate into bookkeeping.

Where’s your favourite place to visit on days off?

The cinema, and the shore for a long walk.

Tell us about your proudest achievement.

My proudest achievement would be obtaining my accounting degree in Texas whilst working full time and extra hours. The other would be being brave enough to up-root my entire life and take a chance starting over in another country.

How would your colleagues describe you?

Friendly and eager to learn and help.

What are you reading/binge watching at the moment?

I am reading the Wheel of Time series and watching Fear the Walking Dead.

Who do you admire, and why?

I admire my eldest brother the most. He stepped up and took care of our father when he got ill and was later diagnosed with cancer. He has always been hard-working and family oriented and is always there to help others without fail.
