I’m the cofounder of Curated Pieces. We’re an ethically-minded boutique home decor and lifestyle brand. Founded by two sisters, we love discovering and sharing gorgeous home decor and lifestyle finds.

Curated Pieces’ mission is to give everyone an opportunity to create a home that they love. We want to transform the home decor and lifestyle market, and ensure a sustainable approach which betters all people and communities.

We feel it’s important to think outside our own four walls, and will be launching a number of initiatives and partnerships to help drive this.

Our range of stock includes exclusive products which we created with sustainability in mind. We also have items from ethical and sustainable suppliers.

We’re dedicated to consciously partnering with brands and suppliers that support our ethos and brand pillars.

What drove you to start the business?

It’s been a concept for a while. We bought the business name domain back in September 2019, and registered the business in January 2020.

The concept has been developed extensively by my sister and I over the past year.

What particular challenges did you have to overcome when starting up your business?

The most challenging activity so far was the technical delivery of the website. Converting the technical requirements into an online store that is secure, resilient and scaleable requires a particular skillset. We are fortunate to have found the developer that we are currently working with.

What do you have planned for your business in the future?
