Hold the mince pies, we can’t believe we’ve reached our first Client of the Year already!
While 2016 hasn’t been the best year for a most, it hasn’t always been all bad (honestly). TAP has had many reasons to celebrate; not only have we had the launch of Pandle Pro just this month and reached ten years of trading back in August, but we get to work with some great clients on a daily basis too.
We’re delighted to announce that TAP’s Client of the Year for 2016 is online homeware and kitchen accessory site, NuCasa.
We had another chat with NuCasa’s director, Liam Yapp, to see what he’s been up to in 2016, and what he has planned for the year ahead.
Congratulations on being TAP’s client of the year! What other achievements has NuCasa accomplished in 2016?
The business has grown tremendously throughout 2016, with turnover up 150% compared to the same period Jan-Dec 2015. This has led to the business expanding its operations and partnering with a fulfillment centre in order to cater for the increase in demand.
This has also enabled us to improve customer satisfaction as our orders are now fulfilled and delivered much quicker than previously when we were dealing with this side of the business in-house.
We have also managed to work on a number of larger trade projects with clients ranging from small bars and cafes to Chessington World of Adventures. This is a notable difference from 2015 and I believe is a result of the improvements we have made in our marketing strategies, which have brought NuCasa into the awareness of these types of businesses.
What have you got up your sleeve for NuCasa this Christmas?
We have focused our efforts on creating specific ‘Gifts for Him’ & ‘Gifts for Her’ categories to enable our visitors to quickly and easily find presents for their loved ones. We will also be running a number of flash deals in the run up to Christmas which will offer certain discounts such as free delivery or 20% off your order.
What’s in the firing line for NuCasa in 2017? Anything we should look out for?
Throughout 2017 we are really looking to expand our current product range to offer our customers a greater variety of kitchen and home decor accessories. We are particularly focused on bringing in a range of lower priced, quality items which can offer an alternative to the more premium ranges we currently offer.
The plan here is to be able to offer a visitors a one stop shop for anything they may need for their homes. Whether that is a run of the mill frying pan for everyday use or a unique pendant light to create the finishing touch to your home decor.
What would you say to start ups considering joining TAP in the New Year?
If you want an accountant who is always there when you need them then TAP is the one for you. From personal experience as a start-up ourselves I can tell you that they went above and beyond in helping me to understand not only the mechanics of business accounting but also how to efficiently and accurately complete my bookkeeping tasks.
Also, their free to use bookkeeping software, Pandle, has been a god send as it is so simple and easy to use for first time business owners.
