Tell us about your business

The RimPro-Tec System is a two-piece wheel protection product which is fixed directly on to the wheel. It helps prevent unsightly (and costly!) damage to alloy/mag wheel rims, which can occur whilst parking and manoeuvring against curbs and other objects.

We tested the RimPro-Tec product rigorously, so it’s a well proven product which is approved with the OEM’s for material and performance. Now it’s patented all round the world, and is manufactured in Auckland (New Zealand), and Michigan (USA).

What drove you to start the business?

I designed the product from a dream my husband had.

What do you have planned for your business in the future?

We’re now ready to expand the Automotive Distributors for RimPro-Tec products in the UK and Europe, so we’re actively seeking highly motivated, experienced distributors and resellers.

Our primary target channels are new, near new, and used car dealers, along with car detailing/valets. We also work with vehicle protection or wrapping installers, such as those who do window tints or vehicle signage.

Fleet operators and managers are another area, such as hire car agencies. And, of course, specialist tyre and wheel dealers! It’s not an exhaustive list, and we’re excited by the possibilities, such as insurance providers etc.
