This month we spoke to the director of Buztek, Ben Lickley, to find out more about what they get up to.
BuzTek is a mobile app development agency working with both businesses and start up tech companies to help them develop mobile apps and make the best use of mobile technology.
BuzTek was started in order to cater to a demand businesses and start ups had for app development. While many had great app ideas, they didn’t have the knowledge or resources to turn them in to reality, which is where BuzTek comes in.
There are two main types of app that benefit small businesses, each in different ways. These are customer facing apps and internal mobile apps.
Customer facing apps are used by customers for repeated actions such as maintaining loyalty schemes or reordering products. The principal benefit from these apps for the business is increased brand loyalty.
On the other hand, internal mobile apps are used by employees for tasks such as processing sales, accessing stock and product information, supporting customers and updating time sheets when working away from the office. These main benefit of these for companies is efficiency and cutting down processes.
Personally I have two favourite apps that BuzTek have worked on to date. The first is a completed app called SurveyIT. It is aimed at asbestos surveyors, duty holders and those responsible for managing buildings, and is designed to make asbestos surveying easier.
The second is one we are currently working on, all we can say at the moment is that it’s aimed at the lifestyle market!
