To get you in the mood for a summer of outdoor events and family festivals, we spoke to our Client of the Month and festival food experts, Crocus Paella.

Owner Nick gave us the low down on the business, what they do and where you can find them.

Tell us about Crocus Paella!

Crocus Paella was born 4 years ago. Professional yet fun and colourful, our Brighton based catering company covers everything from beautiful wedding receptions and private parties to big festivals and corporate events in London and East & West Sussex.

Why did you decide to start the company?

We love PAELLA. And we love STREET FOOD. So we cook paella, street food style!

Due to our Spanish and Greek inheritance, we provide the best that each country has to offer. We use excellent quality Greek saffron from Krokus Village in northern Greece and cook everything from scratch using local produce where possible, to make this beautiful Spanish dish that everyone loves.

What’s your favourite dish from the menu?

It’s really hard to answer this question because it feels like having to choose a favourite between your children! Our most popular dish is our Chicken Paella but we also have many veggie and vegan fans that simply love our Portobello Mushroom Paella. Then again, during the summer months, our Seafood Paella is a big hit since it reminds people of their lazy holidays in sunny Spain.

Do you have a favourite type of event to cater for?

In Brighton there’s so much going on throughout the summer and we absolutely love attending local events and festivals – the vibe is amazing! It’s also so much fun to cater for parties and weddings, because the guests always like to interact and be part of the paella cooking experience.

Why did you choose The Accountancy Partnership?

The most important reason was the customer service and the unlimited support via telephone or email. The Accountancy Partnership also have very reasonable fees, and all the members of the team are a joy to work with.

Would you recommend The Accountancy Partnership?

Without a doubt!

What are your plans for Crocus Paella in 2017 and beyond?

This year we are looking to offer a more complete package for our private events by adding tapas, salads and desserts to our menu, as well as sangria and Jamon carving for a complete Spanish experience!

We will also be expanding to bigger festivals in London and Sussex, so if you bump into Crocus Paella, make sure you come and say “Hola!”
